A beautiful February day filled with art.
I stumbled upon this lovely exploration of the psyche of the artist by Richard Tuttle called Artists are like clouds.
Tuttle distinguishes between emotions and feelings and sees an artwork as an account of both the visible and the invisible. He talks about the importance of discipline in good art and believes that his development as an artist will lead to an end of life which is rich and abundantly creative. He states that one of the most important reasons to have art in your life is for renewal and freedom, a belief with which I wholeheartedly concur.
